Meet Leonard Christian, Graham Hunt and Jesse Young – the newest members of the House Republican Caucus!
With three members leaving the House for one reason or another, three appointments were made by counties across the state to fill these open seats. Meet our newest members of the House Republican Caucus…
Rep. Leonard Christian will finish the term of Larry Crouse in the 4th Legislative District, who resigned his term due to health reasons. His legislative priorities include: limiting the tax burden on the public, keeping state spending under control and making government more service-oriented toward the people of Washington. He serves on five House committees: Appropriations; Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government and Information Technology; Capital Budget; Government Operations & Elections; and Labor & Workforce Development.
Christian graduated from Ferries High School and served more than 20 years in the Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He now works as a Realtor and lives in the Spokane Valley with his wife. Young moved to Tacoma's Hilltop neighborhood with his brother and single mom at the age of three. The family at times found themselves homeless.
