Rep. Young to host telephone town hall

Rep. Jesse Young, R-Gig Harbor, will host a telephone town hall on Monday, April 27 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.  He invites all 26th Legislative District residents to join him for the hour-long telephone town hall event to discuss state legislative issues.

“I am looking forward to hearing from the people of the 26th District and answering their questions on the budget, education funding, the economy and all of the issues important to our community,” said Young. “My hope is this call makes it easy and convenient for residents to participate in their government. I strongly believe government is always better when citizens have a clear voice in what is being worked on.”

Young also noted he is looking forward to providing more information on his Puget Sound Armed services Legacy Memorial (PSALM) study that has drawn international attention for its innovative proposal to repurpose the mothballed aircraft carriers housed at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard into a new bridge across Sinclair Inlet.

To participate, residents can call (253) 244-3163.  If listeners have questions during the call they can press the star (*) key on their telephone keypads.

Residents can also listen online at the following link: Listeners need to login using the following PIN: 910066

Residents unable to participate can contact Young by calling his Olympia office at (360) 786-7964 or email him at if they have questions or comments to share.
